Most jeepneys are smoke belchers and contribute much air and noise pollutions. At present, these jeepneys are modified, there are now jumbo air-conditioned jeepneys around Manila hopefully such would be more convinient to the commuters.

I think its about time they retire the "jeepney" in the museaum. Or it can be of limited numbers in tourist areas perhaps. It be wiser, if the government or entrepreneurs invest in a more efficient and less polluting modern public transportation, which can hold more commuters and does not clog traffic. It should be banned altogether just like the stupid trycicles. Of course, there will be a lot of people unemployed if this will ever happen, again, what is the government doing anyway? I think there's nothing to brag about anymore about Philippine ingeneuity of remodelling the scrap Second World War American jeep!
