The Philippines is one of Asia's Shopping Capitals. Two of the country's biggest chains of Malls are the SM and Gaisano. The above photo is the Gaisano Mall in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. Every major city has at least one shopping mall. But do you know that the SM Mall of Asia in Roxas Blvd., in Manila at present is the third of the world's biggest shopping malls?

The third largest in the planet? In terms of what? Area? Number of retail stores? Sales? Shoppers? (this I believe). And who makes that claim?-SM?

FORBES.COM posted their own article regarding SM-Mall of Asia as the 4th largest mall in the world but today it is only 5th because of the expansion of SM-North Edsa. Here is the link of Forbes article:

Hello my friend from Uganda, am just presenting to you what you should know about my country. Travelling overseas maybe costly but virtual travel will do make you familiar... it brings you to places you can never imagine that you can go there.

That's extraordinary introducing your country like what you did. Perhaps you can make it more specific? Let us know the sense of being there? ^-^

Mr. autumnolic, it is such a great privelege for being accepted as a friend by many here in this blogsite. Personally, my intention for featuring my beloved Mindanao is for you all foreigners to be familiar with the Island that was once tagged as a terrorists haven, home of the Abu Sayaff, and many other negative connotations attached. I am very much delighted by your responses. God bless us all!

I've seen pictures and on T.V. some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Philippines, especially Southern Philippines.
Palawan, Boracay and Davao. I would rather be under a coconut tree right now at 32deg F, sipping Cocunut juice with the local rum or gin and a plate of adobo, while watching the golden skinned Filipina beuties frolicking in the torqouise water over white sand instead of this dirty snow slash remains of a long Canadian winter, but.... I guess I was meant to be here as you said it was written in the bible!

went to both of them and the MOA is huge. The Gaisano mall is much smaller and more personal. Loved them!!!!
what kind of shops would be in the mall?
