This medical mission happened last Holy Friday of 2007 in our barrio. Many of the villagers were benefited. Vitamins were given to children free of charge. The doctors also sponsored free circumcision to the little boys, dental and general checkup.

The medical mission was sponsored by the UCCP (United Church of Christ in the Philippines). Indeed, the people of Brgy. Guinabsan are very thankful.

It is great to see people being given the help they need - just a shame the governments can't do it rather than pay themselves fat salaries!
I would love to do some voluntary work abroad (India in particular) but unfortunately someone has to walk my dog!

hi, sad to say here in the Philippines more particularly in the rural villages, medical access is a big problem. Though the country produces a lot of medical professionals but it's polity has not enjoyed the supposed to be benefits of medical attention. Health centers lack medicines and most of the state-owned hospitals lack facilities.
If you are convicted to do voluntary works, then do it. It may be one of the best legacies you are to leave to your fellowmen.

Many of the villagers were benefited and they deserve it in my humble opinion. no medical exam life insurance

Fortunately, there is this Philhealth insurance shouldered by the government, a medical insurance for the less privileged Filipinos. but free access to hospitals and medicines are ideal. Hope this will be realized.

That's a brilliant mission, those kids really need some nutritional support, they also have the right to a healthy life. I would gladly volunteer for such a noble action.
