Before when I haven't had travelled overseasit wa s my impression that we are the most hospitable people in the world. In my journey here in Brussels most Filipinos are/were not welcoming so sad that everytime they meet Pinoys they have changed they're language to French or Dutch. What is the reason? They would simply ignore you after you smiled at them...huhuh so painful. Maybe they came here illegally so they better are careful I do not know.

Your experiences like mine too? To not feel much pain I just simply reasoned out for myself that maybe they are those Filipinos who left their homeland because of starvation and dire poverty. I would say I am blessed that I am not living a life like them in PI. The are changed now that they are here because they already have food in their stomach.
Pity for them LOL.

Oh...sad to hear that...
But to tell you frankly, inspite of it, i know ispite of what they've done...they can't deny the fact that they are pinoy and pinay...We cant generalized it but believe me,.....many Filipinos are hospitable , almost...they cant wear mask as if they are not one of you or one of us...time will come, they will come and run to you ....maybe not now...
Just dont get discourage coz of those few people who showed you unsual,...stay pinoy...you will reap your effort someday...and they will harvest their own too...
cheer up...sometimes, life is like that..we cant please and expect everybody to be kind to us ...
keep posting!-

Sorry for the negative comment I've made to the most of Pinoys I met in here. This just my impression towards most of them. Well better not take this seriously or else its my loss not to enjoy life more fully. I am not asking for foods from them anyway.

Don't just blame the Filipinos blame Europe which in my experiences is a place where the people are not so friendly. I'm sure these pinoy/pinay were friendly when they first arrived but after being snubbed so much turned the same way. I

I don't think so.But I guess maybe, sometime we have to adopt the culture where we are into. But why most Europeans are able to smile to me then whenever I make conversations with them? Isn't it puzzling?

Some Filipinos have emigrated here. We haven't had any problems that I recall. Being Christian they obviously fit in well.
